They had a moron working as a sales associate who thought he was smarter than everyone else, couldn't answer simple questions that were asked of him, and even went as far as to think that normal every day people haven't been exposed to the internet, let alone a person who minors in computer sciences. His words, "well there's this thing called the internet"... What this moron didn't know is that I used that internet to find his store, and make the decision to purchase $100 of merch from them. What I should've done was spend it on their competitors. This store gets rated 1 star online for absolute disrespect of serious customers.
The customer service is AMAZING! From the moment I entered the store, I was treated like more than a customer, I was treated like a friend.
No need for long drives to Lowes or nasty home depot. So HELPFUL and knowledgeable!!
I find myself at Pearl Ace a few times a week after finally becoming a homeowner. Folks there are incredibly helpful and it appears they really enjoy working there judging by the many interactions I have had with the employees. A few of them even greet me by name at this point which doesn't sound like much, but it's something I wouldn't experience in a place like Home Depot (and it brightens my day). On a few occasions, they didn't have the parts or hardware I needed for a project, but they were happy to point me in the right direction. Options are limited downtown as far as hardware stores go, and I am grateful that the one hardware store within walking distance is so great.
I love this place, there's so much stuff here I never had any idea about like home goods. Also have cheap boxes for moving &I allow my dog to tag along. Staff is helpful & they have a restroom. However, there are some things I think are overpriced.
