All ace hardware stores are great, frankly, and have friendly helpful staff. This one, unfortunately, has a large chunk of its stock behind mesh sliders. I have to blame the neighborhood.
I bought a 28' Aluminum ladder from here. It's so light and durable. I was in and out in less than 10 min.
I have spent a lot of money at this store in the last few months. One of my recent purchases was some hose for my water catchment system. Yesterday was the first day we have had rain in a few months. I hooked up the hose and right away noticed there was a hole in the hose. I went back to the store and was told that cut hose is not a returnable item. I explained that the hose must of been damaged at time of purchase. The cashier did not care. She showed me where it states in small print under the item on the receipt that it states "no return". She told me to speak with the manager, which I did. He did not care either policy is policy... Did not take into consideration that I am in the store often and am a good customer. I understand the hose can not be resold it has a hole in it! It was defective when it was sold to me. Clearly they don't care about making things right. I will not do business with this store or any Ace Hardware for that matter.
I decided I would go to Home Depot at Airport Way to find something to repair it. Now, they provided me GREAT customer service. The sales Associate asked if I had the hose in the car, which I did. I brought the hose in for him to see where it was damaged and he opened up some repair tape and fixed the hose free of charge and gave me the tape for future use. I was impressed with Home Depot going out of their way to help me.
Got grief about asking for help because they were a little busy near closing time. This was right after this intercom message: "We will be closing in 15 minutes. If you need help please talk to so and so. Thank you." uhhh......??? Lol
