Great off leash area, but muddy. River front off leash dogs playing in water. Good dock for launching kayak or paddle boards. You do have to walk a ways to get the boat/board to the water.
Love this place in the summer for soaking. Not much of a beach, but lovely to sit and soak. Dog and family friendly. The only bummer is when it closes for the algae growth that has been happening in the summer.
A great place to spend a summer day. We put our SUPs in the water and feel like we are miles away from the city (despite being able to see it just in the distance.
Not my favorite but I do find myself there from time to time. It does offer some, out of the way chill spots, close to running, biking, great restaurants, antique shops, boat ramp.. even a strip club (not that I go... but hey, it's for those). Its a bit under groomed and feels a bit forgotten.
This place was so beautiful. They have Friday night live bands and the river right next to you. Vendors, beautiful atmosphere and open to bringing your own food and drink. Wonderful.
