It's more than worth parking issues and traffic. Get there early. Better yet, take the TriMet and the park shuttle.
Beautiful at any time of year. I've never been here in the fall before but went again today and it was a perfect crisp fall day to go walking around in the garden. The special exhibits are always a treat and a look into another culture. The entrance to the park has recently been renovated so go check it out!
Walk up the canyon from the new entrance pavilion-note that there is a steady uphill grade and steps toward the top. Or, if you prefer, take the shuttle for accessibility.
Transcendent, like walking into a painting. I have been twice and being here in good weather and going through as slowly as we wanted was really key. This would be off the charts impressive for a date, at least to me. Sitting in the little covered areas was cute and comforting. Nice big coy and beautiful lush greenery.
The best Japanese garden I've been to. It was busy but not crowded. When I went, the entrance remodeling was still in progress. The tour was great, and the views were second to none.
They've made a grand new addition to a wonderful garden set in the west hills. This is a peaceful place.
$14.95 for adults. $1.60 an hour for parking or $4 for all day. A lot of people come to this area so parking can be tight. Hours change during the fall and winter seasons so check ahead for current hours! Most of the park is wheelchair accessible with the exception of a couple of paths.
Very beautiful. I went mid day and it was very pretty and we'll maintained but the downside to it being such a tourist attraction is that it's quite busy. We were being ushered along by the current of people the entire time so stopping and taking in the view wasn't really an option. And for those hoping to escape into some kind of huge forest of maple trees with beautiful bridges and waterfalls, just keep in mind that everything you see in pictures is about shoulder height and very cramped, this is a garden, not a forest. Very beautiful but smaller than it looks
