After i totaled my vehicle in 2013, I was desperate to get an affordable and reliable car ASAP. Many of my colleagues reccomended Tim Dooney at Dooney Auto Sales. Unaware of his reputation around town, I checked Google reviews and saw that he has 1 star. I was nervous to continue to seek out his services. Right when I called his office, I knew that whoever gave him a one star review was unaware of what excellent service looks like. I bought my new car 24 hours after I spoke to Tim and not only did I get a new car, I also got a new friend. The next time I am looking for another or just a good guy to talk to, I can guarantee you that my first choice is Tim Dooney of Dooney Auto Sales.
I recently emailed Jay Mahl at Dooney Auto Brokers to let them know that they had a discrepancy in the spelling of Factory Warranty in their listing on Craigslist. I was researching vehicles for a friend at work and was actually INTERESTED in a vehicle they had at Dooney. Jay sent an email back that stated "I can't believe you wasted your time on that email." I called Jay Mahl at Dooney Auto Sales and he was very rude with me when I questioned him about his reply email. I took offense to this type of treatment from a business here in Portland and I unfortunately used an expletive that I wont repeat here. I have never bought anything from Dooney Auto Brokers and due to Jay Mahl's attitude in his reply email I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DOONEY AUTO BROKERS. This site only allows me to rate this business with one star but if it were up to me I would have used a half of one.
