I guess I expected something different for a children's museum... the ones we have in Vermont are more like OMSI (which I can recommend) and others I have been to are set up better, more aesthetically pleasing, and have more to do at them. I can see toddlers & maybe a bit older enjoying this stuff for a while (we brought a 6-year-old & a 4-year-old & they were not impressed for long), but it just wasn't interesting & we won't be going back.

We did not explore the outside area and perhaps that is awesome, but it's not worth the admission to find out. Oh, & speaking of the admission: adults really shouldn't have to pay to get in here as there is nothing remotely interesting for them to do. Paying over $40 for the mediocre & frustrating time that we had was definitely not worth it.

They have planned activities throughout the day and we tried to check out two of them but changed our mind upon seeing the unruly crowds at them.

I took my 2.5 year old and my 1 year old and they had a blast. There were a lot of different things to capture their attention and keep them happy for a couple hours! I won't lie, I had just about as much giddy and giggly fun as they did! There were plenty of things for them to try and experience while we were there.

Most of it was make-believe stuff which we don't need to go to a museum to experience (grocery store, train engine, veterinarian area, boat... tho I can picture some of those sounding good, they weren't for us). The only thing that I found to be cool at all was a big Light Bright type board.

The cafe was awesome, tho. The food and coffee were great and they have a really good selection of healthy foods, many of which adults actually want to eat.

Went in as a "guest" of the Opal School, which is attached to the museum, and they wanted me to leave my picture ID (driver's license) with the front desk. Uh, no!!?? Ever hear about identity fraud??? Couldn't believe they had the audacity to ask for it, but evidently that's what people do here! Crazy!

Very interactive exhibits that our kids loved! Lots to do and explore while running around. We spent 4 hours and could have stayed longer.

Not much of a children's "museum". Basically just a place to take little kids (under 4 years old) to so the parents don't have to entertain them. What "exhibits" are here are old and worn out. Admission charge is outrageous for what it is.

It was super duper loud and children were running around paying zero attention to what they were doing or who they were running into/knocking over. I get that they're kids, I have 4 of them myself, but consideration for others should really be observed in a place like this.

This museum is a great place to take kids for time to kill on a rainy afternoon. Their standing exhibits are great, the kids loved the vet area, water section, and construction stuff. I am giving them only 3 stars based on their rotating "event" which seems to just be a few (very sparse) costumes and equipment tossed into their theatre area. It was disappointing that it hadn't really changed much from the last time we had gone in that section. It also bothered me that everyone was $12 to get in, including the adults, and then to keep any of your creations at any of the play stations you had to pay extra. You can't give us a half cup of clay after paying almost $50 in entry fees plus parking? In general, I definitely suggest a visit, but wouldn't see it as a returning even like say OMSI or the zoo is.
