Wonderful stay. Small simple room with just the bed and sink. Bathroom is in the hallway to share with others. Classy urban feel to the decor and building. Near tons of stuff. Coffee is served in the mornings and booze at night. You can take your booze up to the rooftop patio and enjoy the view while you drink. Super friendly staff. Love the vibe and have had a great stay here!

Very cool hotel/hostel that's almost exactly perfectly located downtown, within a few blocks from light rail and near a variety of places to eat. Really friendly staff, always smiley and helpful. The cafe in the lobby has delicious baked goods, so look no further for a place to go for breakfast. Despite the size and number of people it hosts, the bunk room was surprisingly orderly and quiet, and the bunks are actually comfy. Bathrooms can be in quite high demand at peak morning times, well, maybe the wary traveler should allow some extra time there if in a rush to get somewhere. And the must-do, must-go, must-experience is the rooftop terrace when weather allows. Goods from the coffee shop and bar can be consumed up there, so what's not to enjoy?

I loved this place. All the staff were so nice. The room was minimalist, but they thought of everything you need. I never saw anyone else using the shared bathroom. I was worried I would feel old there, but folks of all ages were staying there and I did not encounter anyone unfriendly. The little lobby feels much more cozy and warm than it looks in the pictures. I arrived to cold, pouring rain in Portland and it was so nice to sit by the fire. The roof cafe has great views. The cafe is also a legitimate cafe on its own. They have excellent coffee and breakfast food.

So glad we found this gem of a place in Portland. We will definitely stay here again. The rooms are small but very comfortable. There is a rooftop area where you can take your drink from downstairs and sit up there and enjoy the view. Nice happy hour and the breakfast menu is unique. Not sure what is in their regular coffee. It's kind of bitter. Is it chicory? I think next time I will just have an Americano and bypass the regular coffee.

We had the private suite with King size bed and private bathroom. Location, bed, coffee shop/bar, service, and price were all amazing. The rooftop deck sealed the deal, however. Exceeded my wildest expectations and than some. They also will hold your bags if you check in early or have a late flight. 5 minute walk to train station was also amazing!!! 2 blocks to the max... We loved this place!!!
