In short- the place is really dirty (filthy) and quite a bit overpriced. I won't be going back anytime soon.
Don't waste your time.
I went to this laundry as I was new to the neighborhood, and I selected a random laundromat, as the washer/drier in the basement of my building is a bit slow (and sorta dirty). So, I packed up my stuff and came here.... This laundromat has many machines.. The washers were fine- they were fast, effective, and had nice digital displays indicating how much time remained in the wash cycle. However, these washers were a bit expensive to use, and the quarters had to be inserted with some force to get the machines to accept them and register their deposit. That, and there are only TWO sizes, not the four sizes that the description indicates. The driers on the other hand were, to be blunt, horrible. They were expensive (seven minutes for a quarter), and they did not operate well at all- I couldn't really tell a difference between the medium and high heat settings, and they got so humid inside them that I can only assume that the lint traps were completely full/blocked/clogged. The very last word I would use to describe them is "efficient" (and I'd only use that word after suffering a debilitating injury that prevented me from discerning from 'efficient' and 'inefficient').. The experiences with the driers, coupled with the extensive amount of garbage on the floors, and the dirty, oily film on the surface of the folding tables will quite effectively prevent me from returning to this laundry.. It really didn't help/improve my attitude or opinion any when the Jehovah's Witness came in and tried to "save" my fellow launderers...
Usually it's not packed and most of the people who use this facility are very friendly. My problem is with the hours. I went at 9am to do my laundry. The posted hours state 7 to 9. The doors were still locked. This was extremely inconvenient, I live near by and ended up having to go 20+ minutes out of my way. If they're not going to abide by their posted hours why even post them.
I have been going to this laundry off and on for a few months.
