I live in one of the hi-rise apartment building that PDXCleaners serves through our Concierge Services. While the pick-up and drop-off are convenient, in less than 1 1/2 years, I have had more than one item lost or damaged.
I recently took my beautiful Chloe coat, worth over $4,000, to Portland Cleaners. When I dropped it off, I explicitly told the young lady behind the counter to be extra careful because it was very expensive and it meant a lot to me. The next day, I found that the paint from the buttons and the hardware on the sleeves had peeled off. I called the cleaners immediately after finding it and asked if dry cleaning would do this. Nick, who happens to also be the manager, advised that dry cleaning wouldn´t do this and to bring it back so they could try to fix it. Not feeling comfortable leaving it with them again, I did so anyways. I was told that the manager would be calling me back once they got in in the morning. Two days went by before I got a response via e-mail. He advised he could buy some paint and try to fix it or give me free dry cleaning for a period of time on the coat. Why on earth would I give them my coat to dry clean and maybe ruin it even further AGAIN or risk them ruining the rest of my coat with paint? I asked for my money back to which he simply asked where to mail the check. The complete lack of care and service made me regret ever trusting them with my garments and I will never do business with them again. I am incredibly disappointed with this dry cleaners and with management’s handle of the matter.
Went in to have a suit ironed. It took minutes and they did a great job. The staff were really friendly too.
The staff is so dang friendly and they did a phenomenal job getting a year old dirt out of a floor length white dress. Quick turn around time and decent prices. I love this place :)
Portland Cleaners ruined a pair of my dress pants. I went in to pick up one day and they told me my pants were accidentally ripped and that the owner would call me to settle things up. It's been a month and I still haven't heard back from the owner. I've gone in multiple times and left half a dozen messages with no resolution. Please don't give them your business.
Promised callbacks on the lost duvet were never received, nor the bill for the cleaning charge never refunded. Attempts to follow up through our Concierges rendered "it wasn't labeled correctly" with no direction on what a "correct label" would be.
I would NOT send anything made of premium fabric or of high value to them. I would not expect it to be understood.
This is a business VERY COMFORTABLE with its commercial partnerships -- to the degree that it no longer (if ever) needs to provide reliable service.
