From the salesman's recommendations to the installers expert installation work and recommendations I am extremely happy with my new floors.

Overall, we received the carpet we bought. We did not receive all of the carpet pad we thought we bought. The staff at the store were friendly enough. Looking back, I don't feel we were shown all the items that would have been a good fit for us. I don't know much about carpet and pads, and assumed I was shown the variety. The pad is not near as soft as we had hoped for. It took them multiple tries to come and measure our rooms. The man who came was eventually friendly but appeared rushed (too many jobs to do). The carpet layers were unhappy with how the room measurements, and did not seem to understand what we wanted, in the end they did a good job laying carpet even into a difficult area. We were told that for the price quoted we couldn't have all the pad we thought we bought. So some of our area did not get pad b/c we didn't want to put off the laying of carpet further as we were crammed for where people in our house would sleep. So, it was kinda a frustrating experience. There seemed to be miscommunication between staff, and I was not super happy that I feel we eventually paid the price of not getting what we wanted. I don't think I could overall recommend them, although we have carpet now and that is a good thing!
I love supporting local businesses versus huge corporations. The Floor Store was recommended because of their customer service and knowledge of the staff. They did not disappoint. I was happy with the guidance I was given in initially selecting the carpet and the install was very easy. After one year, the carpet was showing wear on the stairs where it does get a lot of use. The carpet was high end but the manufacture did not warranty stairs. My representative Joe, made this right for us and replaced the stairs with carpet that can handle lots of traffic. I would recommend The Floor Store to anyone, it was an overall great experience.
Chris (the sales person) helped us to find the right product to replace the carpet. The service was delivered on schedule and the installation was very well done.

Carpet selection was excellent--I found the color and style I wanted, and the moisture-resistant padding was superior to any I could find elsewhere When I told the salesman, Jay, that I had a time limit for the installation, he came out that very evening and measured the house. The carpet arrived on time, and so did the installer. He ran into a few unforeseen problems and was unable to finish, so they pulled out all the stops and got another installer, Robert, out to me right away that same afternoon. Robert was fantastic. He worked through that evening and showed up really early the next day, so I could leave town on time. He did a beautiful job, especially on the stairs, and got the carpet done on time for my tight schedule. What a great team! I'd recommend The Floor Store to anyone looking for quality of both carpet and installation, and a guarantee to do it right.
