Went to see him recommended by neurosurgeon. I enjoyed the visit. He was detailed, provided reasons for the diagnosis, didn't mind my questions, did a thorough exam and saw me within a few minutes of arriving. No complaints at all, he is articulate and friendly, and I liked the receptionist Nathan. He also CC'd 3 other docs who saw me and make some good recommendations plus educated me on possible warning signs. I gave him 5 stars because he deserves it.

I went to get a second opinion from another neuro-opthamologist and after 1 hour of extensive eye exams and eye pictures (and only $325 bill) to make sure that things were/weren't intact they found the issue to be when I bring things close to my face/screen time causes the headaches, pain and eye pain. The solution? A pair of slightly prescription blue-tech glasses when I am doing close up tasks or screen time. Has it helped? You betcha! Has it cured me? Of course not, because nothing will "cure" you from anything. Have I progressed to where I no longer use the glasses for screen time, yes. My eyes have gotten much better and I didn't need to take any anti-psychotic medications (which are highly addictive) to get here.

Well I am a longtime satisfied customer who doesn't need to spill their guts and personal information online like other people feel the need to; but I've been through many doctors in my days, and staying right here.

I was referred to Dr. Egan for my son, and this doctor was very kind, thorough, was an excellent listener, and was not in a hurry to get us out, in fact he encouraged questions, and he did know answers, and was able to provide further care my son needed. I would recommend him to others, the negative posts are surprising to me, as he is a very smart and thorough MD, and "bedside manner" was just excellent!

I wasn't in his office for concussion symptoms from an accident for more than 10 minutes before he told me he had a "cure" for my problem: Cymbalta (it not FDA approved to use for vision issues, the side effects were all the symptoms I had been experiencing already and this medication is to treat severe anxiety and severe depression.) I asked him what the side effects would be and he said "you may be nauseous for 2 days". I asked only for two day? Because I am already underweight (I had disclosed that in my chart prior to seeing him) and I couldn't afford to lose more weight. He told me that only for 2 days, no other side effects. I asked "what about my headaches?" He said (and I quote) "This will cure that" I asked "what about my neck pain/injury?" He said "This will cure that" I asked what about my back pain and he said "This will cure that". I MADE UP A SYMPTOM and he said "This will cure that". I told him that I was working with Occupational therapy to help these symptoms and the reason I was here was to see what is wrong with my EYES and he told me that basically I get to choose: go to OT for months on end and probably not resolve my problem, or take 1 little pill (stress the one little pill) for 6 weeks and be cured of my problem. (legit, he fed me that line a few times. It was literally like a drug addict telling me to take "one little hit" of whatever drugs they were on. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised since his waiting room has only medication ads (like the ones on TV) playing constantly on the tv screen and a tablet, that should have been a warning flag. His examination consisted of having me follow a pen for 30 seconds and running a red and white scarf before my eyes, all of this took under 5 minutes to do and I was charged $450 for the visit.

I've had nearly a dozen neurologists since I was diagnosed with epilepsy over 20 years ago. Dr. Egan is definitely in my top three and the office staff were excellent each time I visited. Having move to a new state, I'd highly recommend him. He's very easy to talk to and very informative.
