I am writing this off my personal experience with this clinic, NOT to slander this clinic but, to ask for equal opportunity regardless of how your clinic gets paid.
The actual purpose of my visit was NOT met. My daughter is anaphylactic and if given the wrong thing she can die.
My daughter (2yrs) went to see Dr.Sheldon back in March of this year and has still yet to get allergy test results. Mind you the test results are from a hospital. Not even from Dr.Bilstroms clinic. In the office she prescribed a couple of narcs and sent us on our way. I got one follow up call from the office just to "see hows it going?" Not to provide any substantial information.
I was refered to this office because my child has allergies and the test results can only be read by a allergist specialist.
I have had my own experiences but, when it comes to a child there's no reasons.
David is not only professional but very kind and more than knowledgable. If I had to think of a great Dr. to send someone to for allergies it would be him. I appreciate your help and caring. I highly recommend David as he will be honest and upfront which means the most to myself.
Dr. Bilstrom has treated my children and mother for many years. He is extremely capable and kind. His accurate diagnosis and effective treatments have helped us navigate the complex world of allergies and asthma.
Dr. Alexander Yu is rude, needlessly difficult, and seems to favor expensive procedures to relevant solutions. He was short with me when I was not specific enough about the symptoms of a sinus infection that I have been struggling with for 6+ weeks. Instead of working with me proactively to determine the cause of my suffering he invalidated my symptoms as allergic reactions for which expensive allergy testing and multi-year immunology treatment was the only answer.
I've been going here for several years. I've seen Dr Billstrom, Dr. Sheldon and Dr. Yu. They have all been very competent and personable. Highly recommend this place.
I left the clinic feeling as if I had wasted Dr. Yu's time as he was abrasive and quick to cut me off. In contrast the office's receptionist staff and nurses were pleasant and courteous.
I insisted that my sickness was not common allergies as I have had a handful of sinus infections over the last few years and I am familiar with the symptoms. He then pushed me for a CT scan before prescribing antibiotics, which I refused. I have NEVER been pressed for a CT scan at any of my previous allergy clinics, much less for something as common as a sinus infection.
I feel this is a ridiculous amount of time and I have never been treated so poorly when it comes to a child. Dr. Sheldon rushed us OUT of the office during our visit. When I call I get nowhere the staff member's immediately sound condescending instead of empathic. I have had private insurance all of my childhood now that I am on OHP it seems that clinics and offices do not treat us all equally.
