I like this store which is centrally located and easily accessible in downtown Portland. This is my sister-in-law's favorite store and after a few visits, I can understand why.
Pretty decent selection here. Way better than the Ross downtown. Not much in the way of men's shoes though. I've never found anything my size here and the shoe section is smaller than any other TJ Maxx I've ever been in.
TJ Maxx is a great place to buy VERY SPECIFIC ITEMS. Clothes, bath and body items, and exotic snacks are what I come here for. I do not recommend buying shoes here, they tend to be of poor quality. Everything is reasonably priced. I took a star off because this used to be my go-to spot to pick up discounted bottles of nail polish, and it's really been dry on that front lately.
Thus is a discount mostly clothing store similar to Ruth's. This particular store wasn't all that well stocked. This chain tends to have styles more suited to younger customers. If you are a little older and maybe heavier you might have a harder time. You never know though, if you find something it'll be a bargain.
Staff was very friendly, location had a large clearance section and the fitting room attendent was attentive. Thanks for the great new work pants!
