I've been a Car2Go user for a couple of years and love their service. Point-to-point rental has been revolutionary.

They hide the fact that simply registering for an account, even if you just want to see what the process is like will get a $35 membership charge on your card. This fee is hidden in small print in their terms of service. You will not be given a checkout process to confirm or acknowledge your acceptance of the fee. If they hide this what else will they hide? I'm guessing they are putting off all the legal ramifications of their shady business practices until they are bought out. Let the new owners deal with the fallout eh, car2go? Plus the cars suck.

3 weeks later, check engine light came on again. We took it to our mechanic who also said O2 sensor, and said it looked as though previously they had just turned the code off, without fixing anything. A little shady there.. at least it wasn't something major, that could have been disastrous.

That said, the car we bought had a check engine light come on the very next day. When we told them, they agreed to fix it. We brought the car in, they said it was an O2 sensor, and when we picked it up, check engine light was off.

The service it's just NOT reliable. If you have an important appointment you absolutely cannot miss....Call Uber! Common issues like, Car not there...Car didn't take the reservation...Car did not start...Membership card not recognized are much too often of an occurrence to where it is now expected every time I risk this transportation method. It is an admirable concept that someday one may depend on but for the moment (even though affordable) a very unreliable service you "CAN NOT" count on.

Live in a middle of a neighborhood away from a city center. They block my driveway and unable to safely park. If the business is set up to make money why have assets in a neighborhood where no one uses them and they sit for days/weeks.

Went in looking for a new family sized car. I feel we got a decent deal, were treated well and they were able to finance us despite credit issues. We got a tiny discount for being veterans.
