Many would consider JoLa a hipster cafe that serves 7 dollar avocado spread on wheat bread.
A pleasant atmosphere with decent roast and food choices. Tiny children's area, appropriate for 1-2 kids. Clean unisex restroom.
I spring for salads often and there could be a bit more consistency with foods. Soup specials. Occasionally updated menu.
Most places in portland are duds, but JoLa is a great place to read a book, check emails or just a small bite to eat on a Sunday.
Clean and easy going atmosphere with great community space to get work done. Service is alright and coffee refills are overpriced for the tiny mug that they give you.
Good coffee but some of the worst service I have had. She was so awful and unaccommodating. Elephants has far superior service.
Had their fish tacos that had a nice helping of cod and some tasty spicy and chipotle sauces. Under $10...I'll be back!
