Very tasty and accommodating location, my girlfriend took twenty minutes of complicated gluten -free ordering and modifications and the staff was totally on board. They have me a chocolate truffle for my birthday too! Great homey spot with nice big windows and a family vibe.
Ambiance is classy yet homey. We arrived before 8am, was seated immediately, but diners were coming in fast by the time we finished.
We got the Portuguese Fried Rice and the Crab Cake Benedict. Both were great, but the fried rice was phenomenal!!!!
Really delicious food. Busy cafe setting. Nice waitress but she asked my son if he wanted chocolate chip pancakes! Not something I would have told him was on the menu... Exorbitant prices for decent food.
I always enjoy brunch at Cheryl's! Friendly atmosphere from the staff, despite being downtown and always busy. Once you do get a table the wait for your meal is not long. Family owned. I am pretty sure the owners also work there and one Sunday the owners' daughter served me. She was very pleasant and made us want to return again. Food is always exceptional and fresh. The Bloody Mary's, coffee, and OJ are all must tries! You will wait for a table but that's anywhere for Portland Weekend Brunch. Or at least the good places;) And you can get drinks made quickly while you wait. Outside tables to sit and/or enjoy drinks while you wait are available.
I only wish we'd found them before our last day.
The food here is so tasty! The wait wasn't too bad, especially for how great the food, service, and prices are! I would definitely recommend eating here and will for sure go the next time I'm in town!
