I reordered the chicken and waffles and it was good, along with the rest of the food.
My girlfriend and I went to GiGi's for the first time. We were impressed with the food, and the waffles were delicious. Unfortunately, I can't say we'll be returning though. Both of us were surprised to find the 20% gratuity automatically added to our check. The service was fine, but I don't feel great about being forced to tip $6.00 on a $30.00 check. We feel as though the owner's should pay the staff appropriately and not pass the extra cost on to their customers.
Excellent chicken and waffles, and the rest of the food is also great. Fun, welcoming atmosphere, though it can fill up quickly especially in the morning. This place is tipless, which can be a big perk for some people, and also makes it quicker and easier to pay.
I came here for lunch and had a short wait to be seated. The atmosphere was really pleasant and great for conversation. The food was excellent, I've never had a better waffle in my life the scrapple too was something else. The only reason I can't give 5 is because the coffee machine was out and the cappuccino I ordered was mediocre If you're going to have an espresso machine you need to learn how to use it.. Still if you come for the food you'll have a great time.
Nothing 'wrong' with this place, just meh. The food was good, but staff didn't seem very interested or attentive. I had to get up and ask for another drink after having finished my first a long time prior.
I was sitting at the bar and saw my order hanging out for 20mins on the warmer before it was served. Server made a snide comment when I returned it. Still was forced to tip 20 percent gratuity.
