I feel really dumb for letting a coworker talk me out of walking, and dumb for calling a cab company that has its headquarters in my part of town thinking it'd be better for everyone.
My wife and I caught a cab from PDX to my son's house in NW Portland. The cab driver yelled at both of us because our destination was too short. Apparently 25 dollars is not enough money to spend with this driver. He complained the entire rode about Uber and Oregon corruption. Incredibly unpleasant.
I could have and should have walked home, I'd be there by now, but a co-worker convinced me to be safe and call a cab.
The driver took a direct route to my home from Downtown without incurring extra charges. He was polite and was a non-distracted safe driver. I only wish other cab drivers were this focused on their customers needs. Very pleasant experience. I recommend using PDX Yellow Cab!
Cab never showed
They could easily say the bag is no longer in the van after other countless pickups, but they were honest and did the right thing. We were able to get our I-Pad back with all the vacation pics not yet uploaded to the cloud. Thank You!! 5 stars to PDX Yellow Cab!
I understand that it's early morning, but if it's not going to be even close to the quote time, just let the customer know it's going to be longer than usual.
Was quoted 15-20 minutes. It's now been an hour since I was quoted that time.
After all day flying arriving home at midnight, our 12 years old son left his I-Pad and other in-flight toys in the third row seats. We spent the next 42 hours tracing the bag with a wrong taxi company before we found our receipt. One call and the manager was able to contact the driver and the bag was still in his third row untouched!
