I got in and parked, but my friend, who arrived a bit later than me made it inside only to discover there were no free spots. She drove around for *30 minutes* before finally giving up and leaving the garage. The person attending the gate had to radio someone else to override letting her out without charging her for the 30 minutes she drove in circles. Not really impressed with the operation here. How many other people just drove around and around waiting for an opening and getting charged that time until they parked? This place is small and busy being right next to Saturday Market. They need to do something to improve their efficiency. There's no excuse in this day and age to be ripping off customers like that.
The garage at Davis St has raised the rates from $12 to $15 for over 4 hours as of November 1st, 2016. Their machines work sporadically and getting help is always an inconvenience to their employees. The elevator is constantly being repaired and yet still does not function properly. If you enter the garage anytime before 5:00 pm and stay longer than 4 hours, the rate of $5 for nights becomes the full $15, even if you entered one minute early. And their time clocks are slow so it would be 5:01 pm real time but your ticket reads 4:57 pm and you are required to pay the full amount to exit. I have used this garage for the last 3 1/2 years and I will never use it again. Go elsewhere.
Affordable, usually has open spaces, good location.
Careful, your car may get damaged here due to bad security and no staff to help you out. I saw scattered debree on multiple visits here from construction vehicles that they didn't clean up. Bad maintenance. Not worth it, please beware and check thoroughly before leaving in case of damaging debree in parking spaces. I've had tires damaged and paint scratched. They said they'd refund my stay then gave me the run-around.
