Mr. O'Rourke Jr. is one of the finest attorneys that I have had the pleasure and honor to work for (2011 and 2012). He has a heavy case load, usually revolving around drugs and alcohol. He believes only in representing those that TRULY want to better themselves through the best program (drug/alc/court) so that clients succeed, not only in and for their criminal cases, but also in and for the rest of their lives. I have seen him turn down very high dollar retainer fees due to him having the conclusion that the client wasn't "in it to win it" and "it" being their addictions. True Blue Representation for every case (if he takes it) Not everyone deserves his time. He fights the dirty fight against addiction for his clients.

Mr. O'Rourke worked with me for about 5 months and he was always very good about getting back to me if I called or emailed. The first time I met him, I felt like he could see the real me. I knew that he was not secretly judging me a horrible person but that he could see and really believed that I was not defined by the bad choice I made. It is not often that one finds herself with a lawyer who cares not only about providing her with excellent legal representation, but one who also cares about her emotional and physical well-being.

I have seen Mr. O’Rourke accomplish amazing things with his clients. Sometimes, I really think he is working miracles for people. He is personally available to, and genuinely cares about, his clients. The clients and their families know that he cares, and he really takes time to understand what every client needs. He also takes people through their processes step-by-step, and is very responsive to all forms of communication. With all of his experience and the accompanying personal network to back up his years of hard work, he easily assists people in obtaining treatment or other necessary resources that are right for them and their individual situation. However, the absolute best thing about him is that he is honest: Mr. O’Rourke does not “sugar coat” anything, yet still shows a great amount of compassion and empathy. I truly believe that honesty and compassion are what set him apart and make him the best.

Mr. O'Rourke is a man of high values and a compassionate heart. He is well respected in the land of law enforcement, DA's, judges, treatment centers, etc. He will help you if you let him. Just be real with him and he will be real with you. I would recommend him but only to those who wish to make better decisions and learn from their mistakes. I will be forever grateful for the work Mr. O'Rourke did for me. It is a gift when someone sees the you that you thought was gone forever and then helps you to bring her back to life. He saw a spark in me when I was in the darkest of places and he gave me the courage to reignite it.
