Great developmentally appropriate activities for children. They have really nice play equipment, great classes, and fun music events. It's a nice way to meet other families- and great community. The owners are very welcoming and do a great job!
I highly recommend coming to check out any of their classes.
We LOVE having this fantastic resource in our neighborhood! We started coming for baby sign language classes (awesome!!) when my daughter was about a year old, and have continued to come for open play, kids concerts (there are so many to choose from here!), and other classes and play groups ever since. It's an affordably-priced, safe, clean environment with a revolving array of super-fun, highly-engaging, sensory-based play equipment and toys. My daughter particularly loves the unusual swings! Lara does an amazing job of scheduling and coordinating an ever-expanding line-up of fun, creative activities. She is clearly highly experienced with young children and during open play, skillfully chooses the amount and kinds of equipment she puts out based on the ages, abilities, and temperament of the group of children who are present that day, and their energy level. We have never been to another public play facility where the staff are actually monitoring and gently facilitating children's open play in this way - such a gift! There is also a second room across the hall, for kids who prefer or get tired of the noisy/busy gym room, to play with quiet toys and activities, like trains, blocks, and arts and crafts. The UWPG even hosts parties! We celebrated my daughter's 3rd birthday there last weekend and it was the perfect venue for group playtime, music, and food. The second room was a great space for eating and for the introverted kids to have a little space away from the raucous party room. Everyone had a fantastic time! And, last but certainly not least, one of the things I love the most about this business is how community-minded they are. They raise money for those who would like to come play there, but can't afford to, with their "pay it forward" campaign, plus contribute to making our neighborhood and community safer and more accessible for kids. Thank you UWPG for all you do!!!
Wonderful sign language class, teachers and facility.
Not to mention that the owners are some of sweetest people you will meet. They do an amazing job of tailoring to the age of the children playing.
I absolutely love bringing my child to the ASL class. He gets the freedom to participate or play while the class is going on. It is a very relaxed environment that doesn't overstimulate/overwhelm your child while they play.
We went for the open play time for 0-5 year olds. Most of the children were small (9-18mo) so not as much fun for a 4 year old. This is a play space with mats and balls and a separate room for tactile toys (train set, building blocks, etc). I would say there is not much here, but the price is low so its OK.
Highly recommend.
