Also, I couldn't spend more than 15-20 minutes in there because they didn't use their AC on an 80°+ day. I get it's an expense, but they have it, use it! It should be about making your customers comfortable.

Just too much inventory! I couldn't really find what I was looking for because of the chaos. I think there is probably an amazing selection in there to choose from too. I would go back in a minute if they ever had an bag sale. (Fill a shopping bag with books for $10 kind of thing.)

A lot of books in a small space. Most of them are shelved but many are in stacks on the floor. I found one book that I have been looking for that even Powell's didn't have. I found another that I liked in a stack on the floor. It's a nice mixture of order and randomness.
I always try to stop in here when I'm in Portland. Packed with books, good solid inventory, competitive prices. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and are clearly readers. Although mostly used books, they do have a selection of current & popular new books. Anyone who lives nearby should visit weekly.
