This place is a special treat for me. I live too far to go regularly but when I can make it out there I live for Verde Cocina. I keep a thing of their inferno sauce in my fridge. It's one of the few things in life spicy enough for me and goes great in any dish.

Arrived 30 minutes before closing. Was greeted with a smile. Service was excellent food was even better. Local vegetables and grass fed beef. We will return multiple times.

I'd like to give this a four star review for the great tasting main course, but there were two issues that pulled the restaurant down in my opinion. First, the kale salad had the toughest kale I've ever had. They left stems on so thick there were a few pieces I couldn't chew through. Second, the waiter rushed us through our meal. Later found out he was leaving as soon as he finished with us. But we got there at 1:00pm so if he couldn't give us proper time he should have given us to another server. When you pay $20 per person you want to enjoy your time at the restaurant. He literally rolled his eyes when we weren't ready to order within two minutes of being seated, and he brought our check while people were still finishing their meal. And then we wanted dessert, so some are ordering there dessert while others were still eating their main course. Did not leave a favorable impression.

Came here for a late lunch shortly after landing in Portland. I don't know much about tequila, but the server helped me pick one out that was delicious. We started with the ceviche. The fish was very fresh and the seasoning was amazing. Our server did an excellent job explaining all the specials to us, and we both ended up picking the seafood medley. It. Was. Divine. Everything was so fresh and the soup had just enough spice, but not too much for my Minnesotan palate. During the entire meal our server was extremely friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this cute little restaurant to anyone that's looking for some fresh Mexican cuisine.

The food is delicious and a fantastic merge of Northwest grown with a Mexican theme and spicing. Every item on the menu is made fresh and gluten free. Vegan choices are clearly marked. Servers are well informed and willing to ask the kitchen staff if they don't know the answer. Kids are treated great. Tables are available for large family groups down to singles or couples. This is one of my favorite Portland restaurants.
