As my friend said, "I'd give this place one or two meows" We had a reservation for 5 and were sat at a booth for 4 without being asked if we felt comfortable with having a chair on the end. We waited an hour for our food which seemed too long (I'm not sure what their typical kitchen timeline is). Luckily we were with good company or I honestly would have considered leaving. Our server, Nathan, was not fully present or in tune with the table. In the end, our bill was wrong. The food was good (but very salty) so my rating is based on overall experience. If you're looking for southern cooking I'd recommend the Screen Door.

Fried chicken! If you like fried chicken you have to try this place. I got the lunch special with corn bread mashed potatoes and everything was to die for. I don't generally give reviews and fewer 5 star ones but I'll be going back to this place every chance I get.

Not bad. Always had good service. If someone said let’s go to the country cat, I’d say eh and go. They put their spin on every dish (even the ketchup), which can be a nice change. But after going several times I’ve realize, while better then some I don’t think the food deserves the hype it gets.

Despite the numerous times I've been there, I've not tried any dishes but the Fried Chicken. It's by far my favorite meal and when anyone asks me where I'm hankering for, it's always The Country Cat's fried chicken. The mixture of crispy juicy chicken, perfectly cooked collard greens, and hard mashed potatoes with real gravy are hard to beat. Lol, I'm sure their other dishes are spectacular but I haven't reached my limit on the chicken to find that out personally.

I thoroughly enjoy the experience that is The Country Cat. The food is flavorful, succulent, and amazing but the staff, servers, and chefs are BEYOND STELLAR. I appreciate great food but when the employees are as happy and smiley as the ones at The Country Cat, it tells me there's a WHOLE lot happening behind the scenes to make it all look so effortless.

We were craving fried chicken so decided to try this place. We came to the right place! WOW. Their fried chicken was delicious; not greasy, crispy & super juicy. We also ordered the Whole Hog plate; everything on the plate was fantastic! Oh, and we ordered the Wild Mushroom Texas Toast with Bone Marrow; amazing! Highly recommend this lil' restaurant. :)
