I can't believe I had never been here before. Some of the most delicious Chocolate cake I've ever had!!! Very nice employees and quick service, I'll be back, a lot!!!
Nice style buns in that they're not hard and dried out. I say this because many bakeries these days bake only once or twice a day and the product ends up sitting in the warming holds for too long. Pineapple King Bakery is always baking delicious buns and they're economical. Just don't expect quick service.
This place is awesome with so many cakes, candies and treats to chose from. We made a special trip here for my husbands birthday cake during our road trip. It was completely worth it and we will absolutely come back during future trips.
I went to A LOT of bakery shops in Portland, OR and the surrounding area looking for the perfect cake for my wedding. Let me just say, you get what you pay for, and excuse the pun, but this shop absolutely "took the cake" for the best. Also, you get a lot more for what you pay for regarding decorations. They also don't use fondant here but a white chocolate fondant like cover for the cakes if you are looking for a certain style, like quilting. Our cake turned out AMAZING. Also, it tastes the BEST!
I was looking around for a cake for my sons birthday. I had a photo but it was "too difficult" for grocery store bakeries and they had no idea what technique the designs were. I called Jaciva's and they said they could do it with no problem and confidently told me the design pieces were made out of molding chocolate. On the day of pick up, everything went very smoothly. Quiet a few other customers were there to pick up cakes as well which is always a good sign. Once we cut into the cake and celebrated, everyone was telling me how good the cake was! Perfect amount of frosting! I will be a returning customer!
