My husband and I wanted to have cupcakes for our wedding, and came here for a cupcake tasting. The staff were super friendly and the cupcakes were delicious! They have standard-sized cupcakes and mini cupcakes in many flavors as well as some savory pastries. I am a big fan of the mini-cupcakes because standard-sized cupcakes are usually overwhelmingly decadent for me. Overall we really enjoyed our experience with the cupcake tasting.
Best best best experience. I purchased the marion monroe 2 layer sheet cake for my babyshower and let me tell you... the cake was the highlight of the party! The buttercream frosting was so fresh and decadent... the cake was moist and flavorful... and the marionberry filling pulled it all together quite nicely. Several guests claimed that this was the best cake they've ever had... not kidding! Great job folks, thank you for putting so much love into what you do.
Had my mother's wedding cake made by Fat Cupcake. It turned out not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. Thank you for doing such an amazing job.
Edit: we ended up getting cupcakes from here for our wedding and they were GREAT. Delicious and good quality, the mini cupcakes held up really well through heat and being transported across town. They also froze very well and we are still enjoying the leftovers from the wedding! We would highly recommend this bakery.
I ordered a galaxy cake for my nieces 16th Birthday. I was told they make them all of the time, which I'm sure they do. Although, everyone from the birthday got horrible food poisoning from either all of the blue dye or something in the cake. The only other thing they ate was their savory cupcakes from Fat Cupcake as well. My two little one's 3 & 4 who weren't at the party had some cake the next day and got horribly sick as well. It was a vomit fest! I called and let them know of what happened so they don't get anyone else sick. The ladies had the owner call me back just to apologize all the teenagers and our 3 & 4 year old were so sick. I let her know I had to toss the cake. Delaney the owner didn't even offer to refund any of the cake back $120 cake for that matter or even offer a gift card or something. Very poor business management and especially disappointing as I live down the street and use to order from His Bakery all of the time. I won't be recommending them or going to their bakery every again.
My only complaint is they're closed Sunday - otherwise stellar service and delicious cupcakes.
