The best vet I could have asked for. Dr. Zehender put my family at ease and allowed us to make the right decision for our dog, Boots. His kind and gentle nature is hard to find. Thank you for all of your support and help during a hard time.

They could have killed my dog. I've been taking my pets there for a few months. My Boston Terrier has epilepsy and takes phenobarbital. While picking up a refill for her meds, the staff told my wife "we switched these to one a day." The dosage had also changed. After about a week I followed my gut and did some research, and it turns out that's not an actual dosage. Phenobarbital gets out of the system quickly, and it's potentially fatal for a dog to miss even part of a single dose. They not only messed up the frequency, but the dosage itself - they had us giving her 1/2 a pill once daily instead of 1 1/2 pills twice daily. It was potentially fatal to miss even part of one dose, and we were giving her 1/6 of her usual dose once daily for a full week. They did not catch the mistake. I did. I called in. They described it as "a little typo." Obviously I won't be going back.

My mother's dog was dying on the table, in respiratory, kidney, and liver failure, plus congenital heart disease, but the Dr kept suggesting expensive ways to keep the dog alive. After $1000, in 5 days, the dog died. She lives on Social Security, I am disappointed that the vet wasn't forthcoming with her. Tell her to put the dog down. She spent her PGE money, Christmas money, and food money to save a dog the vet knew was not able to be saved. Very disappointing

Been taking our dogs to this vet for years now. Had a very ill dog and I am not sure what the other posters complaint was but Dr. Zehendner was very honest about any treatment the costs and the probable out come. We ended up having to put our beloved pet to sleep. He saved our other dog from a serious eye injury that other vets didnt recognize. Saved her vision!

They're an amazing staff. Truely a caring group of people.
