I was here 8 years ago for a Shabbos, I am telling you, I would go more often if it was closer to Miami where I live. All the Chosuve Rabbonim here are welcoming and friendly. I think those negative comments are coming from people who care less about Kavod Ha'Torah

My heart weeps for those who have not enjoyed the same experiences as I have at Chabad. I would urge you to first seek joy from within. For when you find your joy, you will than be able to find it in others.
I have stopped in to Chabad on several occasions and was pleasantly surprised to find Rabbi Motti openly sharing with all the light of his Soul. Every time I speak with the lovely people of Chabad I walk away filled with joy and a desire to share my joy with others.
We love Chabad of Portland. It's a small but very welcoming community. They do wonderful things to bring the Jewish community together!
