5 stars even with the stadium pricing. If you don't want to patronage the local stops for your pregame drinks or food, you will will DECENT options at the stadium. Parking CAN be a near, if you A) don't arrive early enough or B) don't park across the highway

Areas that say 4hours are reduced to 2 hours during games. Yes that actually means that the pay to park machines update automatically and you can't reserve a spot for a whole game. And yes there are police in these little traffic carts giving tickets. Fair warning.

Great historic stadium! A little expensive like most sports complexes. Great fun and atmosphere at Timbers matches! Can get crowded. Not sure how the fire marshal allows it.

Those church parking lots are also restricted to no event parking even the ones that have a party to park option

Like most people I have a love hate relationship with Providence Park.

Providence park is conveniently located, fairly central and there is plenty of parking near by. A great outdoor stadium for sporting events *and* it posses both a Tillamook Cheese Shed and a Dutch Brothers Coffee Kiosk.

The place, in itself, is a Portland icon that onced was the home of the legendary Mavericks. Now the home of the Timbers, this place reels in a home crowd that booms a cheer, in a quiet day, be heard for miles. I've had the pleasure shooting some action shots right at the sidelines. Love the energy and after the remodel, the place looks great. I recommend coming to a game once or twice if your not a soccer fan. Its an experience.

Important stuff: parking is frustrating amd even moreso now that they have new "special event" zone restrictions.
