It's a great theatre, but the reason why I rate it poor, is because they restrict how many times you can visit. They play the same movie too long. Most single screen theatres will play the same movie at most 2 weeks, but not this one, sometimes 6 weeks. They don't even alternate shows on a schedule, so you can see something different like other single screen/small theatres do. They just play the same movie, week, after week, after week...
The theatre was really nice. Food is average, but good. Cocktails lacked ingenuity. Good beer selection.
Our first visit was for Walking Dead screening on Sunday night in the Backstage part of the Bagdad Pun and theater facility. Friendly service and good bar food. Overall it is a cool space, we had a good time, and we plan to visit again on other nights as well.
This is my favorite theatre! If you are looking for a unique theatre experience this is the place to go. Such a neat place to see a movie!
I literally want to give them money and be a frequent customer, but they make it impossible. Due to their poor scheduling, and repeat showings, I've only been to this theatre once, but they make it impossible to visit again and that is all I want to do! Soonest date I will be able to watch a movie I haven't seen is October 6th, but I'll probably end up seeing Blade Runner at another theatre sooner because they are so slow, so who knows if I can ever visit this theatre again. They hate money.
I had my worst and best experience here with McMenamins. The theatre is gorgeous and I highly recommend coming and see a movie here. The food is always good. We did have a pretty sour run-in with a server who must have been having an off day. The manager comped our food which we didn't ask for. I totally recommend this place though. They are great.
