It's not very often that I feel compelled to write a review about an airport, but I really have to say this airport is great. We had an early flight, but even at 6am all the shops in the airport were open, the staff in all shops were really cheerful and friendly and there was a lovely selection of local products available. Also super speedy getting through security and to our gate. If it's possible for an airport to feel quaint, this one comes very close!
In October of 2017 I flew with my little dog for the first time. I arrived very early to be sure all would go smoothly and was very pleased to find an immaculately clean, well equipped, pet relief area RIGHT ON CONCOURSE C!! My destination airport required you to go outside of the airport which means outside security, so my return flight was much more stressful for both myself and my pet. Thank you PDX!!
The thing that makes portland special is that they're efficient. I always go in a few hours in advance but I always get to my gate early. Super fast security, lots to do, not small and cramped. Lots of shops and restaurants, friendly people, and so much to do. Best airport in the world.
Awesome airport! Many lounges for the priority pass holders. Lines weren’t too bad. Variety of good restaurants and bars. One of the best airports I’ve been too.
My experience was nothing but positive... though I can't find a reason to give PDX five stars. But it's convenient and well-equipped. It's easily one of the better airports in the US.
